Community Partnerships

The Boston Festival Orchestra believes that live music performance experiences are essential to developing a healthy and community-driven society. The BFO engages in youth music education outreach services year-round in Greater Boston, and is currently working with students in Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts' Mentor2.0 program. Last year, the BFO piloted a music education workshop with children aged 3-5 through Horizons for Homeless Children. The BFO is strengthening its collaborations with local nonprofits, and aims to fund a variety of community partnership projects that include offering a Sensory Friendly chamber music concert, creating a children's book, and developing a digital music education series for students.
