Krysten Keches, harp

Massachusetts native Krysten Keches has been called an “excellent young soloist” by the Boston Globe. An avid orchestral musician, she performs regularly as a substitute harpist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She has toured with the BSO domestically and in Europe, and she played on the orchestra’s Grammy-award-winning album “Shostakovich Under Stalin’s Shadow.” She has also performed with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Odyssey Opera, Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, Mistral Chamber Players, Yo-Yo Ma’s Silkroad Ensemble, and the New World Symphony. Krysten is the harp coach for the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras, maintains a private studio, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra Foundation. She holds a B.A. from Harvard College, a graduate diploma from the Australian National University School of Music supported by a Fulbright Scholarship, and an M.M. from New England Conservatory.
